COVID-19 Information

Don’t delay emergency care

Do not delay urgent or routine care because of COVID-19. Seek immediate care for severe or sudden dental events or emergencies. Delaying dental care can be a threat to your health and wellbeing.

Our main goal at Mazza Center for Implant and Aesthetic Dentistry is to take care of your oral health in a very safe environment.

In our practice we are dedicated to strict observation of "Infection Control and CDC guidelines". All surfaces, door knobs, common areas are meticulously wiped down with strong disinfectants before and after every patient. Disposable PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are utilized to assure our patients are receiving and treated in a safe, clean and hygienic environment.

All staff wear 2 masks which are an N95 and surgical mask with a face shield covering the entire face. Staff wash their hands and use hand sanitizer between patients and clean all sufaces and areas where a patient has been. All staff have also received the COVID-19 vaccine and have undergone Infection Control training relating to COVID-19.

We are maintaining social distancing guidelines by scheduling 1 patient at a time and requesting that any companions either remain outside or in the car, unless their presence is medically necessary. Upon arrival we ask all patients to please inform us via text or phone so that when the reception area is cleared, we will notify you to enter the office premises.

We are also screening for symptoms of COVID-19 and will be continuing to take patient’s temperatures upon arrival, will ask all patient to complete a form asking about signs or symptoms affiliated with COVID-19 condition. All visitors are required to wear a face mask in the office and patients are asked to remove the mask only while dental procedures are being performed.

During procedures 3 suctions in every operatory is turned on with 2 directly in the patient's mouth and 1 suctioning the surrounding air. Every operatory and the reception area have a UV (ultraviolet) air purifier with a HEPA filter in order to clean the air and destroy microbes.

Our office is meeting all of the measures for providing elective and non-urgent medical procedures:

We are exercising our independent professional judgement in determing what procedures are appropriate to perform, which appointment should occur, and which patients to see in light of widespread COVID-19 community transmission.

We have on hand at least 1 week's supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) for ourselves, all staff, and for our patients. We are procurring all necessary PPE via our standard supply chains.

We are maintaining social distancing in all settings where people must wait in order to minimize direct contact between individuals within our healthcare seeting. We are encouraging patients to use non-traditional alternatives, including calling ahead, waiting in a car until called, and not bringing companions, unless medically necessary.

We are screening all workers, patients and others for COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival for shift or visit. Any staff who are showing COVID-19 symptoms are asked to stay home and patients are asked to contact their primary health facility.

We have planned for and implemented the enhanced workplace infection control measures in accordance with CDC guidelines. All workers and saff are wearing appropriate face coverings, including surgical face masks and N95 masks, respirators, and face shields. All patients are wearing face coverings whenever possible.

If we become unable to provide PPE for ourselves, staff, or patients we shall immediately restrict operations to urgent and non-elective procedures and appointments.
